Processing: paperwork ready in hours; embassy decision typically 15 calendar days, up to 45 in peak season. ### Paperwork service (application filled, applicant books the appointment) Veeza fills the application and prepares the document pack. The applicant books their own appointment, because the portals serving these missions do not permit third-party booking. For France, TLScontact service fees and the EUR 90 consulate visa fee are paid directly to TLScontact at the appointment. For the Netherlands, the application form is filled on the Consular Services portal, the traveller books the appointment with VFS Global Cairo, and the consulate fee and VFS service fee are paid at that appointment. ### Appointment availability (live) Source: https://www.veeza.ai/en/schengen-visa-appointment-availability The public board shows today's earliest appointment week per Schengen country at the Cairo and Alexandria visa centres, sorted soonest first, and flags missions that accept applications outside Cairo. Slots move hour to hour, so published dates are a planning guide rather than a reservation. Schengen rules require applying to the country where the applicant will spend the most nights, or the first point of entry if nights are split evenly. Choosing a country purely for a shorter appointment queue is a common cause of rejection. ### Other destinations (concierge tier) Veeza runs a human-led concierge service for destinations we have not yet automated. The 27 Schengen member states: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland. Visa types: - Type A, Airport transit - Type C, Short stay (most common, what Veeza handles for tourism) - Type D, Long stay national visa (not a Schengen visa) The 90/180 rule: 90 days max in any rolling 180-day window. Counted backwards from your most recent entry. Main destination rule: apply at the consulate of the country where you'll spend the most time. If equal, apply at country of first entry. Travel bookings: confirmed round-trip flights (refundable preferred), hotel reservations for every night. Financial: 6 months of bank statements (signed and stamped by the bank, per the EU's 2023 list of supporting documents for applicants in Egypt), a balance covering the destination's own daily reference amount for every night, salary deposits visible. Employment: letter in English (employees) stating position, salary, hire date and leave approval, OR commercial registration (business owners), OR university letter (students), OR pension proof (retirees), OR sponsorship letter (homemakers). Personal: national ID copy, marriage certificate if married (translated), birth certificates of accompanying children, previous visa copies. Appointment timing depends on the mission; see the availability board above for today's earliest date per country. Recommendation: apply 4-6 weeks before travel date (8-10 weeks in peak season). Delay causes: missing or incorrect documents, inconsistent bookings, insufficient bank balance, prior visa violations, requested personal interview, peak-season application without confirmed bookings.
